Hope has been a member of our staff since 2016, when he was hired as an accountant for the Wasambo High School construction project. The following year, he took on managing all Determined to Develop (D2D) finances, in addition to Wasambo projects. This January, Hope transitioned to a more managerial role as Financial Controller. Hope’s positive spirit and enthusiasm for his work make him an invaluable asset to our team.
Hope decided he wanted to study Business Management when he was in Form 4 (12th grade). His teacher expressed how he had wanted to study Business Management himself but was intimidated by the difficulty of the program. Upon hearing this, Hope decided he was up for the challenge. Business Management is a versatile program, with courses in economics, marketing, and accounting, qualifying learners for an array of careers. Hope proved himself capable of the challenge, graduating from Lilongwe Technical College in 2013 with a Diploma in Business Management.
Hope did not expect to work in accounting after graduating, anticipating landing in the banking sector, but has since grown to love the field. Still liking a challenge, he enjoys the versatility and dynamism of his position. He finds satisfaction in balancing numbers and solving problems with coworkers. Hope continues to dive deeper in his field, presently working toward a Diploma in Chartered Accounting.
When he is not studying for his upcoming examinations, Hope enjoys watching movies and listening to music. We are grateful to have people like Hope on our team and look forward to witnessing all he continues to accomplish!
